Time Quake

In the Kurt Vonnegut (Jr.) book I finished reading last night, he writes he does not use semicolons. He calls them half-breeds. But I myself rather enjoy semicolons. Something thrills me about the fact that I could technically write an entire chapter in a novel using nothing but semicolons and, at the end, one period.

Mrs. Norwood would not appreciate the humour if I wrote my critical commentary paper on Virginia Woolf's To The Lighthouse using nothing but semicolons and a single period. It pleases me greatly that the paper shan't be collected until March 10th, because I need to write several other essays during the month of February.

The Texas German Society sponsors a contest conclusive February 15th. I simply write about why I studied and shall continue to study the German language and culture. Two essay winners each receive five hundred dollars, which, if I was to win, would increase my nonexistent savings for my out-of-state college tuition by five hundred dollars.
