The Arsehole Of Democracy

I updated on my website a few pages:

I need to get more counters.

April made some excellent swastika cookies for European history class yesterday. We ate those cookies (which April decorated with festive blue, green, and red sprinkles) quite "irreverently", as commented someone behind me (the mumbler might have been Carrie; I enjoy knowing a "Carrie", a "Kerry", and a "Kari"). Our class loves irony. We learned this morning that during World War II, Detroit was "the arsehole of democracy".

I presided over the first Creative Writing Club meeting I've attended in a couple of weeks. We edited the last of the unread Vellum submissions, but we could not confirm decions on the "maybe" pile due to Mrs. Robinson's unfortunate absence. Mrs. Eardley monitored us instead and seemed pleased with what she heard. This included Louis' pieces, which may require minor content editing... Mrs. Eardley found them humorous, though, which ought to earn them some Brownie points with the administration.

I need to meet with Mrs. Robinson about organizing Vellum and the Writers' Cafe. I never get the chance to visit her; she always vanishes to monitor something or eat lunch or what-have-you when I am available. Mayhaps she does this on purpose.

I finished my economics stock market project, but Mrs. Cave indicates we have yet more to learn. Oi weh. That class slaughtered my grade point average this semester. I cannot afford to go any lower than I am. Precalculus looked promising, until I made a "61" on the last test. "61"- an abomination. I blanked out on a few things.

I have not written anything about Japanese lately, primarily because we have been watching "Shogun". In an unintentional way, it pokes fun at arrogant Anglo-Saxons. "Kill whitey", indeed.
