It sounds like Chris' parents (Dan and Jean Thornton) just arrived. Earlier Chris' sister, Jodie; Jodie's husband, Warren; and their wee one, Joel came by to admire Rowan and to swim. Jodie's second hatchling (another boy) is due in October sometime.
Pa-Pa came, saw the baby, and conquered me at Shang-Hai. Then he left. That's fine. After beating me at cards, he wasn't worth speaking to (I'm a little vindictive).
After everyone vanished, Pam went upstairs to nap with the Cabbage, and Chris took me out driving. He suggested I borrow Josh or Laura's automatic to take the Driver's test soon. I still have problems letting out the clutch, but everything else is fine.
Time to go be sociable.
