I get to sell knives! A girl (Destiny) hired me at yesterday's group interview. Ausgezeichnet. Soon I shall make a little money.
I receive $14.50 per appointment (regardless of whether I sell anything), with a starting commission of ten percent that can rise to fifteen percent by the end of the first week. I set my own schedule to as many or as few appointments as I can accomodate. And as an added bonus, I lug around five hundred dollars worth of cutlery. I could not have asked for more.
Today I have an interview appointment with one of the managers at Marshall's. If they decide to hire me, and if they provide health insurance, I'll accept that job, too. The company that wants me to sell knives for them hires high school graduates and college students, most of whom probably don't stay with the company forever. I'm relatively certain it doesn't provide health insurance, but maybe that only applies to part-time workers. I shall have to check.
Before the interview I sat around to watch Tony Blair on C-SPAN. Tony Blair ist sehr heiss, ja, ja. I think he gave a Congressional speech or something...
