I spent six hours in a training seminar for my new job selling people knives. The management guy pulled me and a few other people aside as everyone left to inform us he had selected us, based on our individual performances, to participate in the company's leadership development program. This means that I will train for management skills in addition to my regular sales training. Leadership people apparently get the leg up on promotions within each division, which means I can make more money faster. Das ist gut, ja.
Also, I can earn a most-expenses-paid trip to Cancun (or someplace similarly exotic). Ausgezeichnet. I can make this job fun, provided I set up enough appointments. My lack of transportation, as usual, is a bit of a hindrance.
Whelp, time to go swimming.
