at 7:35 PMPut Your Left Foot In
I just e-mailed The Megabitch (my older sister, for those of you not in the know). It was a nice e-mail. Being friendly toward my sister is more of an act of charity, goodwill, and kindness than Elliott's building that one-room house for a poor Mexican family. It takes far more effort.
I called to ask if she wanted to buy a knife, but instead ended up promising I would e-mail her information about the job so Matt (her boyfriend) can apply at an office in the Houston area. I became entrenched in describing all the details and entirely forgot to make her buy a paring knife or an ice cream scoop or something from me! This is about as close to achieving altruism as I am ever likely to get.
Unfortunately, I might have to quit before my first paycheck because I can't drive myself around town yet. I suppose I timed this all incorrectly. I am especially mad because if I quit, I won't be making all that money. I took the job because I need the money to buy a car, but I need a car to get to the job. Argh. I could just sob my eyes out of their sockets.
Marshalls appears promising. I start on-the-job register training at noon this Thursday. Tomorrow I field train with a more experienced CUTCO representative. Whoever it is will split the leads he or she gets with me. That helps. They've accomodated my lack of demonstration appointments thus far.
Work, work, work. That's all I have to write about. It is most unfortunate. But I need money.
