Skull And Crossbones

This morning Uncle Nick and Aunt Laura sat for my demo. They purchased a kitchenette set (this excited me somewhat- it's a medium-range sale). Then Aunt Barbara arrived and bought a paring knife that she cannot afford. This excited and then depressed me. It is a dadgum good paring knife; however, she probably wouldn't have bought it if I hadn't been the one selling it. Maybe. Living eight hundred fifty miles away from my aunts/uncles/cousins most of my life prevented me from learning their habits.

Tomorrow from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. I must attend my first advanced training seminar. Had I gone in with no sales, I would have been quite depressed. Everyone else will have more, but I at least sold someone something. Before I go in for the seminar I have an appointment with Jodi and Warren (Chris' sister and her husband), who I think might be willing to buy something, depending on how much they cook. Krista mentioned she would be by to swim, so I'll do a demo for her sometime after I return.

Dan nearly wet his pants when he found out I now sell CUTCO. Apparently his grandfather bought a knife from CUTCO in the 1940's, and he still owns it. Dan said he might buy a hunting knife he saw in my catalog, if I can get him some kind of discount on it. I don't really believe I can, but if he's as excited about it as I think he is, he might go ahead and get it, regardless. At any rate, he offered to write down references for me, which will be a tremendous help. I know no one here beyond my relatives.

Dan drove Krista and me to Six Flags, but he opted out of joining us in the park after he observed the crowded parking lot. Krista and I felt we could bear the massive crowds, so Dan agreed to pick us up at 6:30. We spent two hours waiting to ride Thunder River. Then we rode the Mine Train (it's more of a kiddie roller coaster, but riding it is a tradition). We considered waiting in line to enter Hurricane Harbor (the water park), but instead we wandered around the shops (Krista was in a generous shopping mood, as yesterday was her birthday). Krista wanted a few rings and bought mine when I saw a couple that I liked (I have no money). We also ate gigantic chocolate ice cream cones, and, as is always inevitable, I spilled most of mine down the front of my shirt. Sometimes (well, perhaps often) I am more eight than eighteen.

My face feels crispy, which indicates I burned it yet again. Oh, well.
