at 6:18 PMThey Were Put There By A Man
My aunt Laura decided she does not love me today. She had to stay at her office, awaiting the arrival of her new desk. We therefore will probably wait to pick peaches until my uncle Billy, my aunt Michelle, and their little kids come up here in a couple of weeks.
The lady who interviewed me for a position at Marshall's called back today to inform me she really wanted me (who doesn't?). She ventured with trepidation to state she couldn't hire me for more than $6.25 wages (I had written an expected pay of at least $6.50, which was my pay at Rainforest Cafe), but I agreed to accept what she offered.
Primarily, at this point any money is better than no money. Plus, my interviewer (Pat by name) struck me as a good manager to work under. Her personality seemed similar to mine- she's friendly enough, but very reserved. I can handle people talking at me, but after a certain point (usually the third or fourth word) my mind drifts to my work or my shoes or some defect on the speaker's face.
Sometimes being nice to people hurts me, physically.
