at 5:45 PMHe Was Taking Aim
I went in for my very first key staff meeting this morning. I felt awkward, primarily because I have a total of two sales in six days. No one seemed particularly perturbed by my presence (look, Ma- alliteration!), though. Most of the other sales people seem nice enough.
I had two appointments today with people in my neighborhood. A lady across the street handed me her entire church directory. I counted 641 names! They all live around my area of town. It's perfect. She didn't buy anything, and she didn't have to. Then I did a demo for my next-door neighbors (an elderly couple). They didn't need knives or anything, but they thought I was cute. Of course. Who wouldn't?
Tomorrow I'll be in Indiana to celebrate my great grandmother's ninetieth birthday. Her sister is also turning eighty. The only times I can remember seeing that entire side (my grandmother's maternal side) of the family is when some of my great aunts and uncles came down for my mother's funeral, and again when I went to Missouri a few months later for my grandmother's funeral. I expect this visit to be more pleasant.
And maybe some of them will buy my knives!
