The Checkered Camel Company

Before I left for work this evening, I weighed 156.5 pounds. Upon my return, I now weigh 154.5 pounds. I hope I'm losing more than water weight.

I had not realized Lindsay joined the blogging cult! Congratulations to her. She is now one of us, heh-heh...

Uncle Chris and Aunt Pam whisked The Cabbage away this morning for a weekend trip to Iowa (and the domiciles of Chris' semi-distant relations). I am official gatekeeper and dogwatcher/feeder of the Thornton domain until the master and mistress of the manor return Sunday evening.

After work I let the dogs out to take their respective dumps, but they first decided it would be fun to run down the street to see if they could make me have a heart attack. Fortunately, it was 10:20 p.m., with no joggers or old people to maul. Murphy (a Saint Bernard) and Reagan (a black labrador retriever) are two sappy, playful mutts, but other people wouldn't know that (especially if Murphy charged them, as she is wont to do in her playfulness).

Tomorrow (a first in several weeks) I neither attend school nor walk to work.
I might hobble down to the park (a good mile and-a-half away) for some swing time.
I might practice writing hiragana.
I might take notes on the next chapter of my human sexuality textbook.
I might clean the house.
I might study Latin.
I might take up my mother's clarinet, like I've been meaning to for the past three years.
I might watch "Cabaret".
I might sleep.
Mmm... slumber...
