The Checkered Camel Company

I cannot view my blog entries for some unknown reason. I do not know if anyone commented on my last post. Oh, well.

When reading an economics graph, everything to the left of the slanty line represents figures less than the figures on the line itself. Unfortunately, when I took my intermediate algebra exam a week ago, I applied the economics view. This erroneous decision on my part affected one three-point problem. My total exam score: 87. I could cry.

Yesterday I decided I might pursue a business degree. I think I would fare better finding a decent job after college if I earn a marketing (or international relations, or public relations) degree through business school rather than journalism school. Business majors probably learn more self-direction, which I would prefer (as opposed to hiring myself out as a researcher or analyst).

Last week, this week, and next week, my job cut back my hours substantially, because they cannot afford to make payroll. I attribute this in part to the lack of selling associates do. At Rainforest Cafe, they trained us to sell. We sat through unhappy meetings if we did not sell. Marshalls, on the other hand, only expects me to ring people's purchases. Hence, we never sell anything; hence, the store makes no money.

Whelp, I should clean the house.
