My other aunt (Laura) said I could move in with them as soon as next week. Thus I informed my manager this afternoon that I would be leaving. Several people quit recently, and she does not like any of the people she's hired since moi. I feel negatively about leaving her with this situation, because she seemed to count on me to help the older associates hold the fort, so to speak, while she gets the new, obnoxious people trained.at 6:55 PM
However, when I do get to drive my aunt's (formerly my grandpa's) car around, I will not willingly drive it thirty-five minutes to work for six dollars and twenty-five cents per hour. My manager conceded she would feel the same way was she in my position [I think it's "was", rather than "were", for a singular, non-"you" subject].
I might serve tables somewhere for a while, perhaps until the end of the spring semester. At the moment I need money more than I need dignity. Besides, I now live eight hundred fifty miles away from anyone I know who would patronize my restaurant. Auzgezeichnet.
