The Fox Movie Channel is showing The King and I with little production notes at the bottom of the screen. The boy who played the crown prince of Siam spent his infancy in a Japanese concentration camp; his father was an American pilot killed in action during World War II. None of the people playing the lead roles (except the crown prince) even approached being Asian, much less Siamese or Burmese. The studio originally cast Marlon Brando as the king of Siam and Vivien Leigh as Anna.at 9:30 AM
I haven't taken a shower yet. I love trash. I am awaiting the buzz of the dryer.
