My flight arrived in St. Louis approximately twelve minutes late, but I complaineth not- at least it arrived. Aunt Laura picked me up. We then ate lunch at a joint called "The Longhorn" (I thought I had left Texas, but it appears I was mistaken) in lieu of purchasing my textbooks; my school library closes at two o'clock on Saturdays. Afterward we perused World Market and Home Goods. At Target I purchased toe socks, two black Uniball pens, and a Conair brush to replace the one I lost last month.at 7:20 PM
At home I sorted through my backed-up mail. My checks arrived- they are an elegant "Cat In The Hat" design scheme. I feel like such a grownup. I also received matching labels and a checkbook cover. Ausgezeichnet. I used my new toys to write a check to State Farm Insurance Companies for my auto policy.
Along that track, my uncle received $1,800 to pay for the damages to the Buick (I drive it; he owns it). I must say, I do give the most thoughtful Christmas presents. Nick and Laura are going to use most of that to install a new garage door, as their current garage door no longer performs to their expectations. I only regret that I did not break my neck, for perhaps they could have remodeled another room of their house. Oh, well. C'est la vie. I'll try harder next time.
Tonight I had intended to make a run to the dollar store, but I have instead chosen to remain at home, writing and addressing thank-you letters for my Christmas presents. At the dollar store I need to buy paper rolls for the change I have collected, but I can do that tomorrow as I complete my myriad other errands.
