The Checkered Camel Company

My ovaries feel like they are going to explode. Mladen (the Bosnian baker guy) kindly agreed to cover my shift this morning. I lack any energy (and the desire to live) when I am on the first three days of the rag.

Yesterday I picked out Kailey's birthday gift. She doesn't turn fourteen until April 2nd, granted, but I saw this figurine that absolutely compelled me. A girl in a purple dress sits on a humongous pillow, painting a tree on an easel in her lap. The inscription reads 'Creativity makes the world a brighter place'. The company that manufactured it is Demdaco; I bought another piece in the series for The Megabitch and Matthew this past Christmas.

I also found a little wedding gift for The Father and The Fiancee. Wandering around a gift shop at a mall up here, I happened upon scented hotpads. Oh, yes. They read, 'Set your Hot Things on me and fill the air with the wonderful fragrance of Baked Apple'. I also picked out one in Vanilla. I hope the recipients don't think I bought them scented sex toys.

I journeyed to WAL*MART this afternoon for a bulletin board and push-pins, but opted instead for a pack of fifty Crayola markers, birthday present wrapping paper, and a small, mesh file/letter organizer-thingy. I originally wanted the bulletin board for the Goofy character fabric I bought two months ago, but I am trying to restrict my spending, so I'll get it another time. I stood in the office supplies aisle for a good five minutes with the board in one hand and the markers in another; the struggle was agonizing. I finally moved, though; the joint was crowded with old people.

I scored a 49/50 on my sociology exam. Cumulative time spent studying for it: two hours. I love community college! The persuasion exam I took yesterday possibly could defeat me, however. The professor phrased several questions quite ambiguously. It was mostly a definition-of-terms test, but he would list, for example, two answers out of the four that both possibly fit the definition, except one minute detail made one correct and the other false. Pssh. I don't go to college to be challenged, damnit.

Whelp, tomorrow I take my second algebra exam. The homework from each of the chapter sections is due with the test, so I need to go back upstairs and finish it. I have four (out of seven) left.

Then I think I'll colour something with my new markers.
