The Checkered Camel Company

Pam recruited me to babysit the mutts again. I am currently at her house, typing here and eating a turkey-and-cheese sandwich purchased at a twenty-four hour Shop 'n' Save down the road. I cannot sleep, even though I was tired before work and I am exhausted now. I work again tomorrow from 11:00 a.m. only until 3:00 p.m.

I donated blood yesterday (well, Friday), receiving juice, cookies, and a t-shirt emblazened with a huge green arm that reads: Incredible Blood Donor as my reward. I also broke down and bought a Funshine Care Bear, placing it on the bookshelf beside the old, ratty Funshine cub bear I've carried around everyplace since I was three.

At the bookstore I found a medieval history magazine and a book about the late great Vincent Price. I bought both, even though I do not particularly need them. Sometimes one must indulge in such things.
