To avoid traffic this morning I came into work especially early. I bought a pack of bagels to share with my co-workers and prepared to open bakery with Mike, who is training as the back-up baker (my former position). He doesn't annoy me much, so all went well. After our shift we ate lunch and I drove Mike home (his car died).at 2:31 PM
I checked my e-mail and discovered my sociology exam is tomorrow- not next week, as I originally thought. This is my punishment for playing hooky last Thursday.
I decided to make a much more concentrated effort at losing weight. I need to chop off fifty pounds by August. No more soda pop, including diet cola. I'll wean myself off of milk over the next two weeks (Laura and Nick buy the very-reduced-fat breed, anyway, so drinking milk once in a while will not destroy me). I will avoid the burgers at work, which I do a fairly decent job of, already. As for exercise, I will ride my bike early in the evening and work out (aerobic stuff) a little before sleeping and more upon waking. I dislike the idea of running because of the stress my joints will incur, but I can substitute (sort of; not precisely) with the Gazelle machine thing.
Sigh... so much to lose...
