The Checkered Camel Company

I took my sociology final at seven o'clock this morning. At seven-seventeen I slinked out of the room, having bubbled in answers to all fifty questions. Total time spent studying: twenty minutes before the exam. Likely grade: an "A" or a high "B".

I discovered I did not have a persuasion final. The Japanese final began at eleven, and I finished it by eleven forty-five. It consisted of fill-in-the-blank questions, for the most part, with perhaps a fourth translation. Miraculously, I recognized all the words and feel fairly confident about the grammar knowledge I displayed, though I encountered difficulties on particle order in a few instances. I probably scored an "A" or a high "B" on this one, too.

I only received about fifty-seven dollars on my returned textbooks. I kept the Japanese textbook (I had highlighted through it and scribbled pertinent notes on the pages) and the paperback persuation text (which I had bought used in the first place and therefore is probably not worth much, anyhow). With this cash I think I might buy a Walkman- my old one died.

I think now I shall leave for dinner at work. There is absolutely no food in this house.
