The Checkered Camel Company

My cousin Josh needs to move back in with his parents in order to straighten his slightly indebted financial situation. This means I must vacate the Zammito premises, as Joshua takes up much more space than I do, if that is physically possible.

I called The Father to inform him he may have me Memorial Day weekend. He, The Wife, and The Mongoloids shan't be home at that time. The following are paraphrased snatches of our conversation:

Him: "We're going to be gone Memorial weekend. Who's going to be there to unload your stuff? I don't have anywhere to put it! How are you getting into the house?"
Me: "Leave a key under the doormat, Charlie Brown. I can pile my stuff in the garage until we figure out what to do with it."
Him: "Where are you going to stay? You know, there's no room in the house."
Me: "And isn't this all why I told you I didn't want to come down there for the summer in the first place?"
Him: "Well, you'll have to sleep with Kailey. I'll get a bunkbed."
Me: "What?! Don't be silly- you do not have to go out and buy a bunkbed. April's parents or Aunt Debbie probably wouldn't mind me sleeping at their house for three months. I can surely find someone to shack up with until I leave for college."

The Father is such a trial sometimes. Anyhow, I'm giving him a few days to discuss the situation with The Wife, and then I'll call back and tell him what I've decided he's going to do.
